About Us
During the month of February 2006, a few women crafters from the Leominster/Fitchburg area wanted to craft for people who have a need. They combined their efforts and began to donate to local agencies.
A second goal of Warmer Winters was achieved with a fledling program of teaching women on limited income to knit for their families. In time, we hope to develop a co-op for these women, so that they can sell their creations.
Today, the original women who began Warmer Winters have grown into a group of nearly 30 women- comprising individuals, knitting groups, Senior Centers, and even whole families! Our current volunteers range in age from 12 to 93, but we don't limit our volunteers to that range!
